Kunak AIR Pro – Field evaluation report

AQ-SPEC (Air Quality Sensor Performance Evaluation Center) | 2025

The AQ-SPEC field evaluation protocol for air quality sensors tests devices in real-world conditions against reference equipment. It focuses on measuring criteria pollutants such as CO, NO2, O3, PM, and others. The protocol evaluates the accuracy, reliability, and data quality of sensors in various environments. Results help determine the suitability of these sensors for ambient air monitoring.

The Kunak Air Pro was evaluated at the South Coast AQMD site, measuring pollutants such as CO, O3, NO, and particulate matter. The data showed strong correlations with reference instruments, particularly for CO and O3, though some overestimation or underestimation was observed. The units showed high data recovery (around 97-98%) and displayed good intra-model consistency. The evaluation concluded that the Kunak Air Pro offers strong performance for ambient air monitoring, with a cost-effective price point compared to reference methods.
