Packages available according to the needs of each customer
Contracting a package is an option that many companies usually choose. Basically, it consists of making the purchase options easier for the customer by reducing and classifying the product range into “packages” of services. Unsurprisingly, it has been shown that an excessive product range can cause indecision.
At Kunak we always seek maximum customer satisfaction and are aware of what the main market demands are. Therefore, we believe that packaging the services we offer through Kunak AIR Cloud can be a great way to provide you with high-value products and services that best suit your needs.
Their configuration is flexible, so it is possible to adapt the service to the available modules. This way, customers can select the package that best suits the needs of their project and make the most of the data provided by the sensor network. Customers can choose between the following packages:
- Initial
- Initial + Operation
- Initial + Analysis
- Complete
Below, we detail the features included in each of the packages:

Sectors where to use the Kunak AIR Cloud software
We have described some of the key functionalities of Kunak AIR Cloud air quality software and some of the improvements we have been implementing.
However, we should also highlight some of the activities that may benefit from the tool in order to monitor facilities or areas of influence for air quality measurement:
Urban
The comprehensive solution consisting of Kunak AIR stations and the Kunak AIR Cloud platform is the perfect complement to the reference station networks found in cities. This combination extends the coverage and accuracy of measurements, helping to identify air pollution and noise hot spots and increasing data availability.
It is a fundamental tool for cities that want to improve the quality of life of the public through innovative technologies. For example, it is recommended to use it in the control of Low Emission Zones (LEZs) that more and more cities are implementing. The measurement of air quality is also a necessity (and depending on the city, a regulated obligation) in demolition works and new builds, as we indicated in the project for the demolition of the old football stadium of Santiago Calderón.
Industries
Kunak’s hardware and software combination enables the monitoring of industrial perimeters to detect fugitive emissions or, in the case of wastewater treatment stations, to control the release of compounds that generate odour pollution. In the case of seaports and as part of initiatives that seek to enhance the sustainability of these infrastructures (Green Ports or Green Port projects), the monitoring of pollution levels has also acquired great importance in order to reduce the environmental impact of port operations and ensure the well-being of workers in the port and the inhabitants of the area.
Ports and Airports
Environmental monitoring is an indispensable tool for pollution control in maritime and air transport. These systems allow real-time measurement of emissions from ships and aircraft with exceptional accuracy, making it easier to identify the main sources of pollutants to control air emissions. Some projects where we are located are the port of Neom in Saudi Arabia, the ports of the Balearic Islands in Spain and the port of Cotonou in Benin. With the data provided by sensor networks, it is possible to design and implement more effective strategies to mitigate the environmental impact of port activities by driving innovation and sustainability in ports.
Construction
Thanks to the information provided by our air quality measurement solutions, the advanced Kunak AIR Cloud system allows access to accurate measurements of dust and polluting gas emissions from construction sites. This data provides reliable information through which construction companies can identify and control the pollution they are generating. Our technology enables validating actions that reduce their environmental footprint while protecting public health and complying with environmental regulations.
Mining
Mining is an industry that can generate high levels of air pollution due to its extraction and transport processes. Kunak AIR Cloud software is an essential tool in this sector as it allows real-time air quality monitoring, providing accurate and reliable data that helps mining companies comply with environmental regulations and protect the health of their workers. Thanks to its remote monitoring capability and detailed reporting, many companies have been able to reduce their production costs by detecting anomalies, through maintenance work and improving regulatory compliance.
Research and consulting
Our software facilitates the analysis of air quality data, allowing researchers to gain actionable insights for their studies. This not only improves the accuracy of the studies, but also increases the customer’s confidence in the results obtained.
In addition, environmental consultants can offer their customers solutions based on accurate and up-to-date data. In environmental impact assessment projects, this software has enabled consultants to conduct comprehensive analyses and submit reports that meet the highest quality standards.
Why do I need a platform like Kunak AIR Cloud?
If you have read this article carefully so far, it is easy to understand that you have come to the following conclusion: It’s important to have quality data, but what use is it if you do not have the necessary tools to analyse them and make decisions based on them?
Wireless sensor networks can generate a large volume of data that grows over time (1). And this information influences decision-making such as:
- Should I activate the high pollution level protocol?
- Should I improve primary care in response to a possible increase in the number of medical consultations due to the forest fire that is 20 km from the city?
- What impact could these pollutants have on architectural heritage?
The answer to these questions also depends on the information available. It is obvious that the quality of the monitoring instrument, its location and the density of devices influences analysis. In this regard, our Kunak AIR stations offer excellent reliability. But it is also true that having the right tools allows us to “digest” these raw data and extract their full potential from them, adding functionalities such as setting up alerts or data validation.
Kunak AIR Cloud not only provides a robust platform for data storage, visualisation and analysis, but also offers an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. This allows users to access information quickly and efficiently, facilitating informed decision-making. In addition, as the platform is scalable, it adapts to an increasing volume of data without compromising performance.
How are our customers using the software?
Air quality monitoring in mines
The Caribbean energy generator and distributor, Gecelca S.A E.S.P, required an air quality monitoring system at the Las Palmeras coal mine in Córdoba, Colombia. To address this need, a hybrid air quality network was deployed, consisting of 3 Grimm EDM180 mobile stations for PMS measurement and 3 Kunak AIR Pro stations for measuring pollutant gases and PMs. Kunak AIR Cloud software was key in this project as it enabled the management of information collected by the sensor network, and allowed for advanced analysis of the data to aid decision-making.
Air quality monitoring and thermal stress during sports
At the World Athletics Championships in Budapest 2023, the World Athletics Association committed to recording air quality throughout the event. Kunak was hired to control thermal stress with the development of a specific WBGT probe as well as to monitor air pollutantsAir pollution is one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time. The air we breathe contains various harmful substances of a chemical, physical o...
Read more. This allowed athletes to be informed about the pollutants to which they were exposed. Additionally, the data could be accessed live thanks to the development of an embedded widget on the World Athletics website.
Conclusion
Poor air quality is a problem that only becomes noticeable when pollution levels rise. But people’s health can be harmed even by continued exposure to pollutants within legal limits. Numerous studies have shown, in fact, that there is no safe level for pollution.
The continuous monitoring of atmospheric variables is therefore a way to reduce the consequences of this threat. It involves relying on advances such as the Kunak AIR Cloud online platform, and software designed to get the best performance from Kunak air quality stations. This combination of tools comprises our vertical air quality measurement solution. On the one hand, the award-winning Kunak AIR Pro and Kunak AIR Lite. On the other hand, the powerful Kunak AIR Cloud online platform. Together, they provide the best option to take the right actions and ensure good air quality.
Because as Snyder et al (2) say,
“data of poor or unknown quality is less useful than no data, as it can lead to wrong decisions.”
You have the last word.
